What is "CymaticThreads"
'Cymatic Threads' is a term I use to describe my art and its process. Cymatics is the study of visualizing sound and vibration, revealing how acoustic frequencies create geometric patterns in materials like water. Coined by Hans Jenny in the 1970s from the Greek kyma ("wave"), this field demonstrates that sound waves - or higher frequency such as color light waves - physically shape matter. Specifically, CymaticThreads intends to use color and light, both when visualized or when worn, to shape/heal the 'matter' of one's body.
Fall Leaves
Fall leaves are portrayed in their final glorious burst of colors just before they will fade into browns and greys of winter, the season of introspection.
As a physician, I like to ask a client which color they are drawn to in this piece. Every color has a therapeutic aspect, and one’s natural affinity to a specific color tells much about their physical and emotional health. For instance, green is the Physical Balancer while Magenta balances the emotions. Red lights the fires of creativity, and blue imparts an aura of serenity. Yellow and Orange are both energizing and creative with Yellow focusing more on the intellect.
Fall Leaves can be gazed at to diagnose the energy/organ system that is weak and to strengthen it with the use of those colors found to be most appealing.

Paradigm Shift includes cymatic images of low frequency order (top left), chaos and disorder as frequency changes (lower right) and resulting complexity and symmetry when order is established at a higher frequency.
